General Incorporated Association Kodomo Takushoku Ouendan (Children’s Food Delivery Support Group)
The “Kodomo Takushoku” (Food Delivery Service for Children) program, which is part of our consortium, began in Tokyo’s Bunkyo Ward in 2017. This initiative regularly delivers food to families with children facing economic hardship. The food delivery service serves as a starting point to build relationships with these families, allowing us to monitor their well-being and connect them with various forms of support beyond food assistance.
The Kodomo Takushoku Support Alliance aims to expand this program from Bunkyo Ward to communities across Japan by providing funding, expertise, and ongoing support to municipalities and NPOs implementing the program. The Alliance also plans to conduct public awareness campaigns to increase understanding of both the program itself and the social issues it aims to address.
The Murakami Family Foundation strongly believes in supporting the nationwide expansion of this initiative and has provided funding for the initial implementation costs.
