Milken Institute

The Milken Institute, which annually hosts the Milken Global Conference in Los Angeles (where Aya Murakami spoke in 2018), has announced its first-ever conference in Japan. The Milken Institute Japan Symposium 2019 will be held on March 25, 2019.
We are pleased to announce that Yoshiaki Murakami, founder of The Murakami Family Foundation, will participate as a speaker at the Milken Institute Japan Symposium 2019. He will join the “CEO Roundtable on Corporate Governance” moderated by Donald Kanak, Chairman of Eastspring Investments. Other distinguished panelists include Nobuyuki Kinoshita (President and CEO of Tokyo Financial Exchange Inc.), Christophe Weber (President and CEO of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited), Kathy Matsui (Vice Chair of Goldman Sachs Japan), and Takaaki Umezawa (Chairman of A.T. Kearney Japan/Partner) to discuss corporate governance in Japan. The Murakami Family Foundation, sharing the Milken Institute’s vision, is also participating as a sponsor of the Milken Institute Japan Symposium 2019.

-Message from Aya Murakami-
The Murakami Family Foundation is honored to serve as a sponsor of the Milken Institute Japan Symposium 2019. Last year (2018), I had the privilege of speaking at the Milken Conference in Los Angeles, where I was deeply inspired by the numerous outstanding programs. We are extremely honored to participate as a sponsor in this globally renowned event’s first Japanese edition, featuring top leaders from various sectors. Additionally, I am delighted that Yoshiaki Murakami, our foundation’s founder, has been given the opportunity to discuss Japanese corporate governance—his life’s work—with distinguished leaders from various fields.
